How to delete your account or remove your selfie
Your data is yours to remove. Take out just your selfie and face data, or delete your whole account — and if you only want to stop sharing, you don't have to delete anything at all.
Your options
- Remove your selfie and face data instantly in Settings → My Face
- Delete your whole account, with a preview of what's removed before you confirm
- Deletion is immediate and permanent — no backup or recovery copy
- To just stop sharing, disable share links instead of deleting
- Data lives on Picsta's own servers, not third-party storage
Before you delete
Because deletion can't be undone, download any photos you want to keep first. If you're only worried about a specific shared link, revoking that link is usually all you need.
Step by step
- 1
Remove just your selfie
Go to Settings → My Face → Remove my selfie. It deletes the image and your face data instantly, and stops Find Me from matching you until you upload a new one.
- 2
Or delete your whole account
Go to Settings → Privacy & Security → Delete account. Picsta shows a preview of exactly what will be removed before you confirm.
- 3
Confirm
The deletion is immediate and permanent — there's no backup or recovery copy, so download anything you want to keep first.
Frequently asked questions
- How do I remove my face data from Picsta?
- In Settings → My Face, choose Remove my selfie. It deletes both the selfie image and the face data immediately. You can re-upload any time.
- What gets deleted when I delete my account?
- Your user record and saved selfie, every event and photo you own, your albums, your face data, and your share links. Picsta shows a preview before you confirm, and the deletion is permanent with no recovery copy.
- I just want to stop sharing — do I have to delete everything?
- No. Disable the relevant share links instead, which stops access immediately without deleting your photos or account.
- Where is my data stored?
- On Picsta's own servers, not with third-party storage. Face detection also runs on Picsta's servers, so your photos aren't sent to any outside service.
