Share Diwali party photos with everyone who came

Diwali night ends with the best photos spread across twenty phones and a family group full of forwards. One Picsta group event collects all of it in one private place, and every guest finds their own photos with a selfie.

Why a group event beats the family group chat

  • Every phone's photos in one gallery, full quality, no squashing
  • Find Me: one selfie finds you in everyone's photos, not just your own
  • Short video clips sit next to the photos
  • Private link, host moderation, and each guest keeps their own copy
  • Free for 2,500 photos and 50 contributors

Set it up in the afternoon, not after midnight

Create the group before guests arrive and send the invite with the address. People join while they are still getting ready, photos start landing during the party, and by the time the last sparkler is out everyone already has the gallery open.

Step by step

  1. 1

Create a group event before the party

From your dashboard tap Create event and choose Everyone. Name it, set the date, and Picsta gives you a join link, a join code and a QR invite card.

  2. 2

    Invite everyone on WhatsApp

Tap Invite on WhatsApp and send it to the family group, or print the QR card and put it by the diyas. Anyone with the link can join with a free account.

  3. 3

Everyone adds their photos and clips

During and after the party, each guest taps Upload from their phone. Photos are tagged with who added them, and short video clips sit next to the photos on plans that include video.

  4. 4

Each guest finds their own photos

Guests tap Find Me and upload one selfie. The gallery filters to just the photos they are in, across everyone's uploads, so nobody scrolls through 600 pictures of the rangoli.

  5. 5

Keep it, book it, relive it

Every member keeps their own copy of the event. Turn the best photos into a flip-through book, or make a highlight reel to share back to the group.

Frequently asked questions

Is it free to share Diwali photos on Picsta?

Yes. A free group event holds 2,500 photos from up to 50 contributors, and each account gets two free groups. Larger parties can pick a one-time group plan that never expires.

Do my guests need to download an app?

No. Viewing, downloading and Find Me work in any browser. Adding photos to the group needs a free Picsta account, which also gives each person their own copy of the event.

Can guests add videos too?

Yes. Short clips of up to 90 seconds sit in the gallery next to the photos and play in the viewer on group plans that include video. Find Me works on clips as well.

Is the gallery private?

Yes. Group events are private links that are never public or indexed. The host can approve members, hide photos and remove anyone, and each member can mark their own uploads private.

What about photos of the kids?

Faces are matched only inside your private group, and a guest only appears in Find Me results if they add a selfie themselves. Anyone can remove their selfie search at any time.
